The Albanian Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization organized on Thursday, December 24, 2020, the online meeting for the presentation of the published series of the Islamic Thought. The meeting was attended by interested scholars, translators, editors, theologians and students. The purpose of this activity was a worthy representation of 13 publications, as one of the most dignified projects realized by AIITC, in collaboration with the Center for Advanced Studies and with the support of the International Institute of Islamic Thought. The publication of these books in the Albanian language is a long-awaited initiative for the promotion of Islamic civilization among Albanians and the recognition of its role in world history.

In his welcoming speech, the founder and member of the Board of Directors of AIITC, Prof. Ass. Dr. Ramiz Zekaj, praised the work done by the three institutions for the publication of these books, but also brought to attention many serious publications made by AIITC over the years. While the Director of AIITC, Dr. Ardian Muhaj, acquainted the participants with the progress of this project, with the current cooperation between AIITC and CNS, as well as with projects for the future.

A more detailed presentation of the 13 publications was brought by the coordinator of this project, Mrs. Anisa Hykaj, who noted the impact that these publications have on the reader, through the interesting topics they address.

Journalist and editor Oriola Sula reflected on the work done to promote these publications on radio shows, their distribution through open emails and posts on social networks. Also, a good job has been done for the donation and distribution of dozens of copies of them in schools, libraries, mosques, institutions, etc., or during the visits of scholars, professors, heads of local and foreign institutions, students, etc. to AIITC.

Some of these publications were discussed in more detail by the Head of the Department of Education, Mr. Pëllumb Jaupi, the Deputy Director of AIITC, Mr. Genc Aga, theologian Ilir Curri and the collaborator Mr. Roald Hysa.

Some of the attendees of this webinar gave opinions and suggestions to be taken in consideration. The meeting got closed with the wish that next year will bring the realization of other important projects.
