One of the personalities is Raif Kadiu, where in this monographic study, the placement of this well-known personality for the Debarans, on the historical bed of the time when he lived, during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, enabled the author to make a valuable contribution to history. of Albanians. Raif Qadiu, as it is clear in the monograph, belongs not only to Dibra, but he was a personage of size that transcends the borders of his homeland.
The author with his research work on archival and other sources of eminent authors, written and oral material, has clearly and convincingly given us the rich life and activity of Raif Qadi, and especially his prominent role in crucial events. of time, which left traces in the historical process of the Albanian nation.
Raif Qadi’s personality was elevated and affirmed not only in his activity as a clergyman of the religion to which he belonged, but also in his patriotic activity from a young age. Referring to the role of religious institutions of the time in organizing vital events, where the fate of the homeland was played, the author has also reflected the role of the cleric Kadiu in these major historical events.

The name and work of Raif Kadiu have left deep traces in the consciousness of the Dibraans, who even today refer to his knowledge as a source of wisdom, not least mentioning the expression: ” as the First Qadi also said. ”. The dimensions of Raif Qadi’s wisdom and patriotism are ” revealed ” step by step. His courage went beyond the circumstances of the time. Such was his courage to oppose the occupation of the country by fascist Italy, ironically responding to the Italian request to be part of the Albanian delegation, which would hand over the crown of Skanderbeg to King Victor Emanuel III.

” The King and your Duchy have received the Crown of Skanderbeg since the day you liberated us, ” he declared in the eyes of the Italian occupation authorities. He had great confidence that the Albanian national flag would also be waving in Kosovo and Chameria, unjustly detached from the Great Powers of the time, separated from the map of the independent Albanian state. The natural and social environment in which Raif Kadiu operated is Debar with its people, rich, with a vast spiritual world. Therefore, there is a great deal of appreciation of compatriots for the personality of Kadi.

The illumination and brilliance of the work of the cleric Raif Qadiu in Arian Qadi’s book is also an expression of humanity and love for the people, who did for them and the Homeland everything they could, as did the religion to which they belonged.
