On February 8, 2021, passed away at the age of 80, the intellectual and scholar Alush Saraçi , a tireless worker for the Tirana community, a man of high virtues and patriotic contributions. He was born in Elbasan, on 03.08.1941. He was a tireless contributor in the field of education, a devout family man and believer.
As a graduate, in 1960 until ’63 he managed to be among the teachers of a selected generation of students in the gymnasium “10 Korriku” (later “Sami Frashëri”), where he taught the course “Practical work”.

After the 90s, Alushi became the Director of Personnel at the “Mother Teresa” Hospital. During this period, he developed several qualifications and trainings in the USA, where after returning to Tirana, he provided assistance to the country, leading with responsibility different important sectors in the municipality, as head of the Reception Office, and in some other official positions.

He was one of the first collaborators and a member of the Board of Directors of AIITC, where he contributed with his ideas and professional experience for years. His advices to AIITC staff were among the most valuable and very helpful to the work progress over the years.

The Albanian Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization expresses its sincere condolences to the Saraçi family for his loss, appreciating the figure of Professor Alush Saraçi, as a prominent personality, great patriot, loving man and exemplary collaborator.
